Automation Without Disruption: Integrated Soldering & Laser Depaneling
Toki Automation presents a flagship demonstration of multi-vendor synchronization. Our integrated production line seamlessly bridges the gap between different manufacturing ecosystems, combining German precision with Japanese reliability into one cohesive, automated platform.
The Power of Integration: Hakko & LPKF
- Soldering Excellence: Powered by the Hakko HU-200 Auto-Soldering Machine (Japan).
- Precision Cutting: Features the LPKF CuttingMaster 2240 Laser Depaneling system (Germany).
- Unified Control: Fully synchronized via Toki’s custom automation architecture—no hardware modifications required.
The Automated Production Workflow
1. Smart Material Handling & Feeding
The process begins with a six-unit pick tray transported via a high-speed conveyor. A dedicated pick-and-place unit manages the transfer to a secondary conveyor, feeding the components directly into the LPKF laser system.
2. Non-Contact Laser Depaneling (LPKF)
The LPKF CuttingMaster 2240 executes high-precision laser depaneling. Unlike traditional mechanical routing, this non-contact process:
- Reduces mechanical stress on sensitive PCB components.
- Improves edge quality.
- Increases production yield by up to 30%.
3. Integrated 2D Vision & Quality Inspection
Post-depaneling, the system performs in-line quality validation. An integrated 2D vision camera inspects every workpiece. Only parts that pass strict quality parameters move forward, ensuring 0% defect rates in the soldering phase.
4. High-Mix, Low-Volume Soldering (Hakko)
Verified workpieces are transferred to custom jigs within the Hakko HU-200. This machine is the industry standard for flexibility, supporting:
- 1,000+ Programmable Recipes: Rapidly switch between different product designs.
- Consistent Thermal Control: Precision soldering that exceeds manual capabilities.
5. Automated Cycle Completion
Once soldered, the system performs an array-pick (retrieving all six units simultaneously) and returns them to the starting position. This closed-loop cycle maximizes throughput while minimizing human intervention.
Why Toki’s Synchronized Automation?
Most manufacturers struggle with "Automation Disruption"—the need to overhaul entire lines to fit new machines. Toki’s platform allows you to:
- Scale Without Modification: Keep your existing original equipment.
- Bridge Ecosystems: Sync machines from different global suppliers effortlessly.
- Future-Ready Design: Add or swap modules as your production needs evolve.
